When I was working in Australia as a Guest Services Agent (front desk), I remember at the end of every shift I had to:
Withour even going in further details, it was a very long, repetive and tedious process. in one of the early days of Chat Gpt and general AI, i tried to automate the task by importing in the LLM a similar already compiled data (the previous day one), and then with instruction to simply take other written files (word files mostly), to populate the new document; long story short, it didn’t produce the accuracy i was looking for. To merge files, and proceed with higher accuracy was still a particular task to be done.
Today, everything has simply improved. The efficiency of every task has increased, in such a way to complete a complex work within a single instruction. Clear examples are shown by for example using Claude Skills, repeatable and customizable instructions that Claude API can follow.
It's now possible to use Claude + Excel , enabling a creation, edit , full analysis with formulas , formaatting and everything related to the application; more, we can create and code the population of a file from VS code (2) and Codex Extention; We can of course also deploy code with Copillot, Claude, or others LLM.
As said, all by inserting natural language query.
